Intervention Specialist

Mr. Scott Dearth

I love teaching at St. Jude as an intervention specialist after 30 years of serving in the same role in the Oak Hills School District. I was raised in the Dayton area but went to college at Cincinnati Christian University. While there, I received a degree in Christian Education and then got my Masters's Degree at UC in Special Education. God is at the center of my life, and my wife and I worship and serve at White Oak Christian Church. My wife, Susan, taught for many years at Christian schools in Harrison, Ohio, and is currently a substitute teacher. Our daughter Jasmine lives in Denver and is an intervention specialist with the Englewood, CO School District. My wife and I love to travel! I am also an avid OSU football and UC basketball fan.  It has been great being part of the St. Jude family, and starting this chapter in my life and career.

In addition to the electronic/online background check, employees are required to complete manual fingerprinting and submit a B4 form before begin- ning their employment at an Archdiocesan parish, school, or institution.
