After School Care

The St. Jude After School Care program is a self-supporting service to our St. Jude School parents.

Our After School Care Program provides supervision and structure for students in grades K-6. We provide a snack, homework assistance/tutoring, and play time for students. The program provides care for students from dismissal until 5:30 pm in the St. Jude Cafeteria, science lab, gym and/or outdoors.

Daily Schedule

2:30 - Check-in/Attendance/Snack Time (Snack consists of fresh fruit and muffins/crackers/pretzels; water, white or chocolate milk to drink.)
2:30-3:30 - Homework, tutoring, free play (toys, games, puzzles, coloring table, reading)
3:30-4:30 - Activities in the gym or outdoors
4:00-5:30 - Homework or free play (toys, puzzles, coloring table, reading)

Special Events

Movie Fridays (popcorn provided!)
Holiday crafts and games
Bingo for prizes
Earned Reward Days (students pick from ice cream, popsicles, new game, or craft)

St. Jude School After School Care 2024-2025 Handbook

A thorough background check is required for all those employed or volunteering to work with youth or vulnerable adults as a cleric, at a parish or school, as an Archdiocesan employee or at an Archdiocesan institution. All volunteers and employees are required to complete the electronic/online background check through SELECTION.com prior to beginning their volunteer activity or employment. In addition to the electronic/online background check, employees are required to complete manual fingerprinting and submit a B4 form before begin- ning their employment at an Archdiocesan parish, school, or institution.
