After School Care

The St. Jude After School Care program is a self-supporting service to our St. Jude School parents.

Our After School Care Program provides supervision and structure for students of all ages (Grades K-8).  We provide a snack, homework assistance/tutoring ,  and play time for students. The program provides care for students from dismissal until 6 pm in the St. Jude Cafeteria, science lab, gym and/or outdoors.

Daily Schedule

2:15         - Kindergartners are escorted to the cafeteria and offered a snack
2:30         - Snack Time (Snack consists of fresh fruit and muffins/crackers/pretzels; water, white or chocolate milk to drink.)
2:30-3:30 - Homework, tutoring, free play (toys, games, puzzles, coloring table, reading)
3:30-4:30 - Activities in the gym or outdoors
4:00-6:00 - Homework or free play (toys, puzzles, coloring table, reading)
 

Special Events

  • Movie Fridays (popcorn provided!)
  • Holiday crafts and games
  • Bingo for prizes
  • Earned Reward Days (students pick from ice cream, popsicles, new game, or craft)
  • Early Dismissal Pizza Lunches

Download St. Jude After School Care Registration

A thorough background check is required for all those employed or volunteering to work with youth or vulnerable adults as a cleric, at a parish or school, as an Archdiocesan employee or at an Archdiocesan institution. All volunteers and employees are required to complete the electronic/online background check through SELECTION.com prior to beginning their volunteer activity or employment. In addition to the electronic/online background check, employees are required to complete manual fingerprinting and submit a B4 form before begin- ning their employment at an Archdiocesan parish, school, or institution.
