Mrs Julia Lane

This is my 22st year teaching art at St. Jude School. I teach many types of art, using different mediums, and teach about famous artists. I hope that my students take away the love of art and knowledge for my class. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati DAAP with a bachelor’s of Art in fashion design. After graduation, I designed baby clothes for the William Carter Company/ Baby Dior in Atlanta Georgia. I married my husband 30 years ago and we moved to Indianapolis. In 1994, I started a hair bow company called Indybows Inc. I hand-painted hair bows for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Notre Dame, Nordstrom, Parisian, and other smaller stores. Once we moved to Cincinnati in 2000 I continued making thousands of hair bows until 2004. I have two children who both attended St. Jude and went on to Catholic high schools. My son graduated in 2017 from Ohio University and is living and working in San Francisco. My daughter is currently a student at OU. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, traveling, and working in my garden.
