Mrs. Julia Lane

This is my 23rd year teaching art at St. Jude School. I teach many types of art, using different mediums, and teach about famous artists. I hope that my students take away the love of art and knowledge from my class. I graduated from the University of Cincinnati DAAP with a bachelors of Art in fashion design. After graduation, I designed baby clothes for the William Carter Company/ Baby Dior in Atlanta Georgia. I married my husband Jack 33 ago and we moved to Indianapolis. In 1994, I started a hair bow company called Indybows Inc. I hand-painted hair bows for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Notre Dame, Nordstrom, Parisian, and other smaller stores. We moved to Cincinnati in 2000 and I continued making thousands of hair bows until 2004. I have two children who both attended St. Jude and went on to Catholic high schools. My son, Johnny, graduated in 2017 from Ohio University and is living and working in Chicago. My daughter, Madeline graduated from OU in 2021 and is living and working in Pittsburgh. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, traveling, and working in my garden.

In addition to the electronic/online background check, employees are required to complete manual fingerprinting and submit a B4 form before begin- ning their employment at an Archdiocesan parish, school, or institution.
