What a privilege it is to be a Bulldog!

I joined the St. Jude faculty in 2019 as a 4th and 5th-grade math, science, and social studies teacher, and have loved becoming a part of this special community. I now serve the school in the capacity of Assistant Principal.

Before working at St. Jude, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in K-6 Education and Geography from the University of Miami, a Master’s degree from the University of Miami in Geography and GIS, and a Ph.D. in Social Studies Education from the University of Georgia. In my professional career, I have happily worked as a university professor, a classroom teacher, a paraprofessional, and a coach.

My husband, Thomas, and I live in Northside with Bastian (our son) and our furry companions Neuf (a calico cat) and Porter (a shelter-special dog). When I'm not at school, you can usually find me enjoying a book (ask me what I'm reading!), trying a new recipe, staying active at the gym, or planning our next travel adventure.

A thorough background check is required for all those employed or volunteering to work with youth or vulnerable adults as a cleric, at a parish or school, as an Archdiocesan employee or at an Archdiocesan institution. All volunteers and employees are required to complete the electronic/online background check through SELECTION.com prior to beginning their volunteer activity or employment. In addition to the electronic/online background check, employees are required to complete manual fingerprinting and submit a B4 form before begin- ning their employment at an Archdiocesan parish, school, or institution.
