Mr Lou Eichhold
I am blessed and honored to be the principal at St. Jude, a position I’ve held since the 2011-12 school year. I started my career in 1997 as a fifth grade teacher in Southwest Local. After 5 years, I moved on to Oak Hills Local as an administrator where I served various roles in four of the schools and district office.
Although I worked in public schools for 10 years, my personal education started at St. Ignatius and then onto La Salle before earning my BA in Elementary Education from Mount St. Joseph, and my MEd in Educational Administration from Xavier. In 2007, God called me back to those roots. He sent me to Visitation for 4 years as the Director of Teaching and Learning before the pursuit of my vocation led me to St. Jude.
I currently serve on the Archdiocesan Recruitment without Boundaries committee, on the Advisory Committee for the School of Education at Mount St. Joseph University, and as the Secretary for the Board of Limited Jurisdiction at La Salle High School. I have mentored principals in the Archdiocese, attended the St. Gregory the Great Institute, and have presented at multiple professional conferences. I live in Monfort Heights with my wife, Nicki, and our kids Kate, Lou, and Jack and I am a member of St. Ignatius parish.
