Mr. Sal Lagonia

I have the honor of teaching science and mathematics at St Jude. I was born in The Bronx, NY and have been in The Cincy area for 3 years now, and my family and I have felt nothing but welcome the whole time. I have been teaching for 14 years, coming to teaching after The Church recruited me from the private sector, and I have never been happier than when I am in front of a classroom. I graduated from Mercy College with a BS in Criminal Justice and I hold Masters degrees in Intermediate Education and Economics. I am also working on a Doctoratein Psychology. When I am not engaged in my passion for teaching, I am following my passion for baseball, where I still play as often as I can, or spending time with my three boys.

A thorough background check is required for all those employed or volunteering to work with youth or vulnerable adults as a cleric, at a parish or school, as an Archdiocesan employee or at an Archdiocesan institution. All volunteers and employees are required to complete the electronic/online background check through SELECTION.com prior to beginning their volunteer activity or employment. In addition to the electronic/online background check, employees are required to complete manual fingerprinting and submit a B4 form before begin- ning their employment at an Archdiocesan parish, school, or institution.
