Intervention Specialist

Mr Scott Dearth

I love teaching at St. Jude as an intervention specialist after 30 years serving in the same role in the Oak Hills School District. I was raised in the Dayton area, but went to college at Cincinnati Christian University. While there I received a degree in Christian Education, and then got my Masters Degree at UC in Special Education. God is at the center of my life, and my wife and I worship and serve at White Oak Christian Church. My wife, Susan, taught for many years at Christian schools in Harrison, Ohio and is currently a substitute teacher. Our daughter Jasmine lives in Denver, and is an intervention specialist with the Englewood, CO School District. My wife and I love to travel, and this summer we vacationed in Punta Cana. I am also an avid OSU football and UC basketball fan.  It has been great being part of the St. Jude family, and starting this chapter in my life and career. I am the new kid on the block at 60!
